About Us

The Greene County Tourism Advisory Board (GCTAB) is an organization currently leading the Tourism effort for Greene County, Indiana. Our efforts are a direct result of the 2006 Strategic Planning meetings of the Greene County Economic Development Corporation (GCEDC), as well as related efforts of the Greene County Citizens Academy. We work closely with GCEDC, Chambers of Commerce, and Growing Greene (Greene County HTC). We are an organization made up of Greene County residents who are eager to share the tourism opportunities available to potential visitors, tourists, and local residents. Our team of residents represents a wide array of community organizations, locally-owned businesses, civic groups, municipalities, elected officials, public institutions, area school corporations, and event committees. Thus, we are truly a county-wide effort and welcome individuals from across our county interested in promoting Greene County, Indiana to join our conversation. If you are interested in learning more, want to contribute to our efforts, or would like to receive information about our meeting schedule; please contact us at info@visitgc.com. If you are a potential visitor and want to get information sent to you about upcoming events and other announcements, please sign up for our mailing list.

We would like to thank all of those who have contributed to the development of this website: photographers, data gatherers, reviewers, and especially our Design Coordinator, Brooks Benefiel, and our Chief Programmer, Derrick Tennant.  Great job team!
